Chiyuni Village hosted a handover ceremony to open its clean water well. The community was very happy and thankful. Chief Chiyuni thanked Village X direct donors for the investment in community health and noted that his people will now have much less illness. 💦💦

The opening celebration for the well was delayed until next Thursday due to a death in the village. Good to see that community is already putting the well to good use!

Chiyuni's borehole is almost done. Workers recently installed the metal pump mechanism, cement foundation to protect the pump mechanism, and cement spillway to channel excess water away from the pump. Once the cement dries, the well will open for use.
