Chikumbu finished its well and hosted an opening ceremony for local residents. The village decorated the well for the event using leaves from local plants (looks like eucalyptus leaves were used).

Chikumbu Village celebrates the arrival of clean water. Drillers found the water at 60 meters below ground. They installed a pump and concrete foundation to protect the well. The well will remain idle for 7 days to allow the concrete to dry.
