Manyumba’s new classroom is open! Dignitaries attending the opening ceremony included the ward councillor, the group village headman, a representative from the district education office, and church elders. During their speeches, they thanked Village X donors and asked Village X to partner with additional villages in the area. The school’s headmaster vowed to take care of the new classroom, just as the community had cared for the teacher’s house and community borehole previously funded by Village X donors. In his remarks, the chief noted the positive impact caused by Village X projects over the years. The district education office commented on the speed at which Village X funding reaches the ground to support community development projects. The community will meet within a week to decide on its next project.
