Khaliko wrapped up its borehole project and held a subdued opening ceremony out of respect for a funeral that was occurring simultaneously in the village.

The drillers got to work and found water at 55 meters. They then installed a metal pump and a cement foundation to protect the pump. Also, the community installed a cistern at the bottom of the water spillway to collect excess water, a first for one of our borehole projects.
