The community is putting the finishing touches on this clasroom project!

Chitimbe's classroom is back on track after getting delayed a bit so that workers could attend local funerals and pay their respects to family members of the deceased. Next steps include plastering the floor.

Chitimbe's classroom is taking shape. A grant from the Mulanje District Council made it possible for the community to use cement blocks instead of local bricks. Compared to bricks, cement blocks are stronger and better for the environment. The environmental benefit comes from not having to use local trees to "burn" bricks. Roofing is next!

The classroom has a foundation. Walls are going up now. More pics coming soon.
