Mponela's renovated classroom is done and has opened its doors to students! The timing couldn't have been better with heavy rains starting to fall in the Karonga region of Malawi. The growing season has arrived!

"Breeze blocks" have been installed in the window frames of Mponela's classroom. Almost done!

Mponela is almost done renovating/expanding its classroom block. The tasks that remain are painting and adding "breeze blocks" (cement blocks with holes that promote airflow) in the large window-sized spaces on the front and back of the building.

The community purchased materials for the classroom. Construction will begin immediately!
