Monday, September 4, 2018, Chikumbu Village
held a ceremony to mark the opening of its new nursery school. The occasion also celebrated students graduating from Chikumbu's previous nursery program, which provided instruction under makeshift grass structures erected outside the chief's house. Festivities held on Monday included singing, dancing, and speeches. Field officers Myson Jambo and Bernard Dickson were in attendance. Thanks to our generous donors, many more children will receive early childhood education in preparation for primary school. Enrollment has already doubled from 50 to 100 learners!
