The borehole in Yalema is doing well. However, the project committee chairperson said that the village needs another borehole to meet local demand for clean water.

The new borehole in Yalema is having some problems producing enough water for the entire community of about 3200 people. An inspection revealed that the borehole is fine, but Yalema needs to implement water restrictions until another borehole can be drilled for the community. Other partner villages have encountered this problem and have found creative solutions to curtail water usage.

Partner World Connect, who financed this borehole project, visited to inspect the project and meet with the community. All is good!
